This is the general discussion list for IDTheftReform.ca. Please take a moment to read the list rules: We're here for a common objective. That doesn't mean we have to agree in everything, though, but please let's keep this civil. Abide by some simple rules: a) Say what you would say in public b) with the person you're discussing with in front of you c) and try to be excellent to each other. This is not Twitter :-) Please don't include the entire e-mail you're replying to in your response. Trim it to keep only what's strictly necessary. I know that modern e-mail (web)clients keep the entire thing, but it's far from optimal, specially for a mailing list. Try to remain on topic. If you feel a thread has veered too far from its original subject, start a new thread with a new subject, so that we can keep our conversations tidy. The mailing list only accepts messages smaller than 500 Kb. If you need to send a large attachment to the list, there are a number of services you can use (for example, https://wetransfer.com/). If you need to contact the e-mail administrator(s), you can do so by e-mailing general-discussion-owner@lists.idtheftreform.ca. It is recommended that you filter e-mails from this list so that they go to their own folder and they don't clog your inbox. Please check the documentation for your e-mail provider for instructions on how to do this. If you send me a good link with detailed instructions for Google/Yahoo/Outlook/whatever, I'll add it to these rules. When you subscribe, please check your spam folder, in case the confirmation message ends up there. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the General-discussion Archives. Using General-discussion
To post a message to all the list members, send email to general-discussion@lists.idtheftreform.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to General-discussion
Subscribe to General-discussion by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
